I’ve always been a hands-on, creative person. Crafting things and working with my hands has been second nature to me for as long as I can remember. There’s something deeply satisfying about being able to touch, feel, and even smell the materials I’m working with—it creates a tangible connection that goes far beyond what digital or electronic experiences can offer.

My journey into woodworking, however, didn’t start in the traditional way. I didn’t grow up in a woodshop or learn from a family tradition. Instead, my path began in chemistry, where I earned a master’s degree in epoxy chemistry. During my studies, I discovered the incredible potential of epoxy beyond its conventional uses in fiberglass and industrial applications. This knowledge became the foundation for one of my most creative ventures: epoxy river tables.

Using my background in chemistry, I began my career by founding my first company, Colorations, where I developed and manufactured children’s art materials. This experience immersed me in the world of colors—how they mix, contrast, and interact with different textures and mediums. I learned how colors can evoke emotions and transform the simplest materials into something extraordinary. This knowledge of color theory has become invaluable in my work with epoxy and wood. When creating epoxy river tables, I draw on this expertise to choose the perfect hues and finishes, combining natural wood grains with vibrant or subtle resin tones. Each piece I create becomes a harmonious blend of form, texture, and color, making the final product not just functional but a true work of art.

This fusion of craft and science has allowed me to create pieces that are both artistic and functional, embodying my lifelong love for hands-on creativity
